March 31, 2008 - There is a time change: The
presentation of Doubting Thomas at St. Therese in San Diego will be
Wednesday, April 2nd at 7:00pm and not at 6:00pm as was posted on the

January 5, 2008 - The San Diego
Lay Pastor Society Retreat has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 9,
2008 starting at 10 a.m. and closing with mass at 5 p.m. at Resurrection
Church, Escondido, CA. The Focus of the Retreat is "Shedding light on
the Gospels - Walking with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.''

Lay Pastor Society
This Lay Pastor Society web site has been
designed to provide information for all participating or interested in
the Lay Pastor Society. It is our goal to see that this ministry is as
easy to implement as it is important. Once implemented, this ministry provides a safety net within your parish or church community. Think about it -
every family in your parish being contacted
every month. The message left
every month with every family is simple - I Love You.
Saint Augustine said, "God provides the wind, but man
must raise the sails." Let us together raise the sails.

Mark is a popular speaker at conferences around the
United States. As a result of the Lay Pastor Society Mark is
sought after as a speaker to inspire and encourage lay people to take on
the responsibility of Christ's question to Simon Peter "Do you love
